Hi yall,
Another quick update - just recovering from Sydnova and knuckling down to do a one-week cosplay in time for OCC in Melbourne.
Parts of Os Cordis and Tabcom made up our crew as we headed to our little mini holiday in Sydney, taking six days off for this trip:

. We flew up on Thursday, hung out and relaxed as much as we could, while working on skits and costumes. The same went for Friday basically, except the costume making was a liiiitle more frantic and may have lasted to 3am-ish on Saturday. On Saturday we had our skit day - Dispozition as Mungojerrie chrysocome as Rumpleteazer and xpuddycatx as Jemima, characters from Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical CATS. forever-girl went as Princess Leia. Managing not to die on stage during our crazy paced swing/lindy hop skit was a bonus. Sunday was much more casual, with either civvies or rewears. On Monday we decided to be annoying tourists, and on Tuesday we were home again.
The trip marked one year birthday of my wonderful cosplay family, Tabcom. We didn't do anything special there as we only make up a tiny fraction of it, but a proper anniversary day is happening later next month.
Now to work on my cosplay for Melbourne OCC. Another secret. Might see some of you there

I know it's way late to make a new year post, but I thought I'd update as there hasn't been one for ages.

Countdown to Armageddon

Well, it seems another year has come and gone now that we are in the final stages of preparing for the last con of the year. It seems strange to think that this will be our third Armageddon as cosplayers.
Things have been relatively quiet for Os Cordis in this later half of the year. I can only speak for myself rather than the group, but a lot of things have changed making cosplay no longer a priority. I went to Oz Comic Con, decided that things needed changing, and wasn't impressed. Intended to go to Manifest, things had changed, and I wasn't impressed. Not Panicking in Sydney

I know I promised a Melnova update but things got really hectic, and now Sydnova is upon us. Have to keep this one short. Melbnova 2012: Win ALL the things! NOW WITH SKITS

So last weekend we attended Melbourne Supanova 2012, our first convention of the year and I daresay it will be our biggest. On Saturday we teamed up with the rest of our beloved friends at Tabcom Cosplay to form a GIANT Lord of the Rings Group (nineteen members!) which has been in the works for nine months. We produced four musical skits with two big dance numbers, mashing up LOTR with Moulin Rouge. The four skits and the whole group collectively won ALL the advanced categories, a totally unprecedented victory.
On Sunday we were a little more laid back with a Firefly rewear,
